The service was top-notch! The staff was super helpful and attentive, especially ‘Server San’ who made our meal a delight. The outdoor onsen was awesome too, perfect after a long day. Just wish the food options were clearer—dinner turned out to be a snack bar and not what we expected. All in all, a cool experience!

Enjoying high-quality kaiseki dining in the banquet hall while overlooking the forest was a culinary highlight. Experiencing both indoor and outdoor onsen was refreshing, although arranging transport upon arrival was a bit tricky due to limited shuttle timings. The room layout felt a bit maze-like, making it harder to navigate, and the absence of air conditioning may be uncomfortable during warmer months.

mountainsides. The generous opening times allowed us to relax, and the dinner kaiseki was an incredible experience. However, we noticed that some of the hallways felt worn out and could use a refresh.

Request smaller food serving sizes if needed, as portions are large during meals.

yunoshimakan is a peaceful spot with beautiful views and a great place to relax. our japanese-style room had an indoor hot spring bath which was fantastic! the foot bath area has stunning scenery and is perfect for unwinding. it’s also right in front of the train station, making it super convenient to get there.

Some areas in the hotel feel a bit outdated, which may affect overall ambiance for some guests. The communal breakfast restaurant is cramped and lacks natural light, resembling a workers' canteen rather than a tranquil dining experience. For those without a dinner package, the restaurant doesn’t start service until 8 PM, which might leave you waiting if you're hungry after a long journey.

I cherished my stay at Yunoshimakan, with its stunning views and tranquil atmosphere. The indoor hot spring bath provided a relaxing escape. However, the outdated facilities felt a bit worn. Overall, it offered an authentic experience, rich in history and charm.
