Charming stay with friendly vibes
The service was top-notch! The staff was super helpful and attentive, especially ‘Server San’ who made our meal a delight. The outdoor onsen was awesome too, perfect after a long day. Just wish the food options were clearer—dinner turned out to be a snack bar and not what we expected. All in all, a cool experience!

The atmosphere blends traditional elegance with stunning natural beauty, particularly in the picturesque garden adorned with autumn leaves. Enjoying high-quality kaiseki dining in the banquet hall while overlooking the forest was a culinary highlight. Experiencing both indoor and outdoor onsen was refreshing, although arranging transport upon arrival was a bit tricky due to limited shuttle timings. The room layout felt a bit maze-like, making it harder to navigate, and the absence of air conditioning may be uncomfortable during warmer months.

Reasons to love it – and reasons not to
Immersive traditional experience with stunning views from the private bath. The multi-course dinner was unforgettable—an exquisite showcase of local flavors!
The building shows its age, and I found the breakfast to be lackluster. Service felt overly commercial, not intimate enough for a ryokan stay.

The onsen was amazing and beautiful with views of the
mountainsides. The generous opening times allowed us to relax, and the dinner kaiseki was an incredible experience. However, we noticed that some of the hallways felt worn out and could use a refresh.

Perfect for a family getaway
The staff treated us like royalty, waiting for us at the shuttle and helping us carry our bags. Plus, the open-air onsen in our room was a game changer—nothing like soaking while looking at the trees surrounding us! !
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but for what we got, it felt acceptable.

The Japanese-style room with indoor hot spring bath was cozy and clean. Loved the beautiful view, and the private onsen was such a treat! Could control the temperature, which was awesome. Just felt a bit dated overall, like it needs some updates. But the cleanliness made up for it.

missingWrote a review on May 19outdated ambiancecramped restaurant
Some areas in the hotel feel a bit outdated, which may affect overall ambiance for some guests. The communal breakfast restaurant is cramped and lacks natural light, resembling a workers' canteen rather than a tranquil dining experience. For those without a dinner package, the restaurant doesn’t start service until 8 PM, which might leave you waiting if you're hungry after a long journey.
